Carol gives the wookie a smile as she finishes chewing and swallowing the fruit in her mouth. "Thank you," she starts. "I really appreciate this. It's gonna save me a lot of time having to map out the space around here."
Yes, she could've just stood there in silence while Han was gone, but Carol felt like she needed to say something to break the silence. Plus she really did appreciate the gesture. It was some damn good luck that Han was going to be able to help her with her mission. It actually would free up some of her time if he happened to have some time to spare.
Without anything else productive to say, she shoves some more fruit into her mouth.
