If you think about it, there were only so many ways for an ordinary guy to look out for someone that can punch through durasteel. Though she’s probably right about him not realizing it. Chewie is more aware of Han’s feelings than he seems to be sometimes.

Han, not being very far away, has returned to the room. At what point he got there was hard to say because her ship doesn’t creek and groan the way The Bria does. A look is leveled between the pilot and co-pilot that isn’t overt as glaring, but it’s not completely comfortable. It passes after a moment and Solo puts the promised credit tab on the table and slides it across to the Wookiee.

“I’m just trying to be nice.” Solo says as he folds his arms across his chest. “That’s all.”

Wookiee reflexes keep the credit tab from falling off the table, even as Chewbacca has started opening the cereal box. When Chewie speaks again, it’s all business.

“Two datapads. I’ll see what I can find at the market and then head back to the ship to start getting the files ready. Might take a few hours. Take your time here.”
