Droid brains have an advantage over an organic brain by being able to directly connect to various networks of data, but they don’t come off the factory line knowing everything. Experience makes them better thinkers too. It’s another way that those little droids end up being a lot like people.
Orange hums a question to the pair of them. Han, having a passable understanding of basic, takes it upon himself to answer.
“No. She’s not part of the crew. She’s ... my friend.”
The word friend seems to come out of Han’s mouth like he isn’t used to saying it. It isn’t until he flicks his gaze over to her, wondering if ‘friend’ was an apt enough description for them, that Han realizes how close they are.
