He doesn't know why he wanted the kid to know that he'd faced death on the cloud city without knowing about him. It could be because of the fact that if he had, he wouldn't have gone into the freezing chamber with that numb sense of acceptance he'd had at the time. Or it could be that he wanted to make some kind of excuse for him not being around.

Anyway, at the prodding, Han does get up to his feet. He assumes that he's using the term uncle the way that some people do with their parent's close friends.

"Are they okay?"

He was almost afraid to ask, but as long as information was getting piled on him ... that was the one thing he really needed to know.
