There was little point in arguing with a man who'd never felt the Force. Back when he was just a small child, Han couldn't hear the voices of the monsters in his head and he couldn't stop them either. The father couldn't understand the powerr that flowed through his son's veins, and like his mother, he was sure Han was afraid of it.

He felt alone all over again.

The mention of the gash in his side shook him back to reality. He traced the edge of the wound with a gloved hand. He could yank the shard out himself, but his father was right. They would need more than pressure to stop the bleeding. So he unclasped his lghtsaber from his belt.

Cauterization would be quicker than stitches. He knew what had to do, but didn't know if he had the strength to do it.

"...Will you help me?"

He held his lghtsaber between them.
