Han, sensing that he can use his arm again, puts the blaster away. He never should have had it out in the first place. Coming back here to the large open space of the stern while his son was using the very powers that twisted him into darkness was a bad idea, clearly. Then again it is very much like Han to be the Captain of Bad Ideas. That the worked out for him as often as they did wasn the only surpising aspect.

Not as if the kid needs to look as his mind to know he's telling the truth, his tone is a bit unsteady but it's definitely an honest one. "I just convinced myself that anything you could have learned from me was less important ..."
