Aside from an easy answer and a place to belong, he wasn't entirely sure what he wanted. He wasn't even sure of who he was, which memories were real and which were manipulated. (He was trained to use the Force to tear through people's minds, which meant his had been ransacked quite a few times - as both an example and as punishment for having the wrong thoughts.)
