He'd be inclined say that it wouldn't, not just because his life kind of hangs in the balance on that one, but because he knows how he feels about death. He gets no joy from it. Maybe that's why, despite being a hell of shot and resourceful as all get out, he could never bring himself to taking on bounties.
Despite him believing that most of the answers to Ben's existential questions are going to come from inside of him - he does want to help him more than anything. And it's not lost on him the fact that he thought he couldn't for so many years might have helped put him in this bind ...
