To be fair, you can't blame the kid for not connecting a punch when the opponent was dropped during the wind-up. Han, rarely interested in keeping the emotions off of his face unless he was sitting at a sabacc table, doesn't appear all that persuaded by his son's look.
Captain Solo takes a few steps toward his son and offers him a hand. He probably could stand on his own, but no sense in trying to find out that he might be wrong.
