He doesn't say anything at the offer for Han to vouch for him, but the way his eyes widen and brighten at the trust and praise Han would need to have for his skills to do so clearly means a lot to him. People holding any part of him in high regard isn't something he's used to, even before Blackwood mountain's fiasco.
