Frea doesn't mind the lull in the conversation. It gives her time to look around properly and see what she can learn about him from his surroundings. What does and doesn't fill a living space can be so telling.

When he starts to speak her attention returns fully to him; the fingers that had been idly stroking his back now start to move in patterns meant to soothe. The idea of his having been in the military gets a little rumble of a giggle from her. As close together as they are, he can hear that and feel it both.

"You do. I like your hair this way." To prove it, she gives his hair another nuzzling. "Hmm, my turn. I guess... I should admit, I've never done this indoors before. This is a first."
