It's true. He hasn't come up with anything she can do to help him with yet. In his defense, he's not entirely sure what Frea can do. But he has deduced that being the goddess of spring puts her somewhere between the average mundane human and omnipotent in terms of abilities. He plans to do further studies to see what he can find out.

And no, he wouldn't judge her negatively on getting pleasure from seeing him happy. Although, he'd still characterize such efforts as altruistic.
