Besides, with Jakku looming larger and larger the closer they get, she needs all the concentration she can pull together to keep from working herself into another worried frenzy.
The last thing any of them needs is a repeat of just a few hours prior.
"I know", she murmurs, glancing at him quickly, offering a tight, nervous smile. "But I'd rather be out here. Just in case you need me."
