It probably was a very dry conversation, at least on Jakku's end. It wasn't as though she'd known very many people very well, but she'd learned early that they weren't exactly known for their sparkling wit or senses of humor. Luckily enough, once the clearance is given, that conversation can cease.

There were probably better things to focus on, anyway.

Like the way she's transfixed by the swift motions of his hands dancing over the control panel, so practiced and sure, never missing a step, a beat, a switch, trigger or button. It's beautiful, really, and she thinks that she could watch him pilot like this all day.
