Which makes him examine how much he cares for her. It was never a matter of not being fond of Sara, but he kinda presumed her interest in him was meant to be a brief one and that it had passed. In the meantime, he had been swept up in the wake of keeping Luke and Leia out of trouble. Which was a hell of a job because they hadn't developed a well defined sense of self preservation the way Han had.
