A shame that he isn't moving all that slow and that he can't read her thoughts. If he was to know she was in a hurry - he'd have a lazy smile on his lips and Han would have to make some mention of her wanting to rush into getting him alone.

Instead, she's treated to what it's like to walk through a dingy alley with Han Solo. If she were to look carefully at his face, it would be a bit hard to read. He has a look on it that seems to be looking at everything at once or possibly nothing at all.

He, also, might be a tad more quiet now than he was inside the cantina. Not to the point of being unfriendly or in a way that suggests he doesn't want to talk anymore, but ... he does seem slightly different now.

"My ship is still half taken apart." He reminds her with a half hearted shrug. "I can't go anywhere in a hurry."

When Carol draws in to rectify the kissless status of Han's jaw, he lets the back of his fingers run over her check. Even with the barely there pressure that he's putting on her skin, his hands feel course to most people.

It does dawn on him, after a moment or so, that treating her so gently is kind of funny considering her powers. It doesn't make him want to touch her differently anyway.

"Only so many of them are worth keeping track of." He says and then after a pause, he asks ... "how do people keep track of you?"

There is a not-entirely-smoothness to his hands, but she actually likes it. It's definitely not going to hurt her and it's the sign of a more lived-in man. She's always preferred those.

As for how he's touching her, she really likes that, too.

His question almost makes her crack a joke about him asking for her phone number, but she quickly realizes that not being from Earth could mean that he may not understand it. "You mean if people want to contact me?"

Captain Solo has the kind of hands you can forget, for better or for worse. They've got the kinds of callouses you'd expect from an old mechanic - which probably something about the manual nature of the work that he does and maybe the age that he began doing it.

The question makes his heart drop for a moment, though. That deep-rooted insecurity that he has suddenly gnawing at his insides. Does she not want him to be able to get a hold of her? Is she not interested in a repeat performance by some random she picked up in a bar? He would blame her, but ... her body language and the words are giving every clue that she likes him.

So he swallows hard at the worry and nods fractionally. "Like if a charming smuggler was gonna."

There's no chance of her forgetting those hands any time soon. Despite how hard she was rocking down on him the way they felt clutching her hips did not go unnoticed. She's hoping to get to feel that again and sooner rather than later.

Carol catches the nature of the swallow and has her own touch of panic for a moment. She had just wanted to clarify that he actually wanted to get in touch with her and not like, how the US government was tracking her ship or something. What a stupid thing to think.

"Well, anyone can hail my ship. But I can link it up so that your communications go directly to my personal device. I'd certainly like to hear from a charming smuggler." And that was revealing more than she usually would. If she wasn't so comfortable curled up with him in bed she'd be perhaps a little concerned how much she had just shown her hand.

With that little misunderstanding cleared up, the little traces of worry that you can find in Han’s guarded nature resolve almost instantly. She kinda likes him. She’s willing to hear from him again. Before they go their separate ways, they can make sure they have a way to get a hold of each other. That’s all he was worried about.

If there’s gonna be a round three ( ... when is the last time he’s done that, he wonders ) it will take a little time for him to be ready again. That means he’s got plenty of time to look over the woman he’s lept into the bed of. Good looking was a given, he noticed that at the bar, but he’s never seen such a lovely combination of femininity and strength. Her physique is really something and he doesn’t bother to hide the fact that he’s impressed.

After that, his eyes flick over her skin to see if he can notice any scars or if her powers had kept her skin unmared. Han himself has a few, most noticeably the one on his chin, but he has a few scattered over his body in other places.

“You look really good, you know that?” He says at last. “Really good.”

There's a bit of relief on her end, knowing that he wants to get in contact with her. There's a lot of excitement, too, which doesn't happen a lot. It's not all that often that Carol gets like this over a guy - especially one that she only met hours earlier.

As for a round three, she isn't expecting it, but would certainly be up for it if he happens to rise to the occasion.

There are a couple of scars spread across her body. Most are small and barely seen, but she has a couple from her military days before getting her powers. He can find them if he really looks. Carol's glad that she still has some because the thought of being perfect isn't super appealing. And as for Han? She finds the scar on his chin to be insanely sexy.

His words surprise her, but not because she thinks he's wrong. Mostly because her appearance isn't something she thinks about all that often. Sure, she makes sure that her hair and clothes are presentable, but she doesn't care about style and she rarely wears makeup.

"Oh, uh, thank you. You too." Which is true. He isn't as built as other men she's been with, but he's solid, toned, and dangerously handsome. Now that she's thinking about it more she's kinda flattered that a younger men is saying she looks really good.

He didn't expect to find scars, but then, he has no concept of when she got her abilities. He still doesn't entirely know how to process that information entirely.

All Han knows is that he finds himself falling into the logic that everything about her that's special is because of the Kree side and everything that's ordinary is because of her human side, for better or for worse. It's probably not that simple, but it's something to work with for now.

Running a rough hand idly over the skin of her thigh, he listens to her praise him. It seems sincere and it's not often that he gets real compliments. He almost doesn't know how to reply ...

"How often do you get out this way? Are you a long way from home?"

Carol Danvers would argue that there’s absolutely nothing ordinary about her. But if the thought is helping him process, then she won’t argue about it. At least not now.

She runs her hand over his shoulder and chest now that she has the time and can explore his body more thoroughly. There’s a brief pause as she relishes the touch of his skin on her thigh and figures out how to respond.

“I’m pretty far from home and this is my first time out here. But we’re trying to learn more about the area so I think I’ll be around a bit more.” It was a damn shame that he lived all the way out here.

Or is it the same that she didn't live out here?

Because that's what Han thinks. If she were only around to help him out even once in a while, he could easily bank the kind of money it would take to be comfortable. He might not be that old, but Captain Solo was already pretty tired of robbing a rodian to pay off a hutt.

"Before you leave." Han says as if an idea was coming to bloom in his mind just then. "You show me your navigation data and I'll show you mine."

Mmm, he might have a cute face but it would take more than that to convince her to aid him in smuggling. Kiss him, sleep with him, possibly help out if something gets serious...but probably not smuggling. Though if he was interested in turning legitimate...

She takes a moment to consider the deal. There might be a few places she would have to scrub major details from, but the data he had would save them a hell of a lot of time.

“Deal. That’ll save me a lot of work.” And probably make it harder to justify trips out here. But it was too valuable to ignore.

There's a lot about them that's likeminded and a lot about them that isn't.

Han's motivations for things are pretty straightforward. He wants to be free. He wants to be able to be captain of the Millenium Falcon. He wants to find some little piece of happiness and cling to it like his life depended on it. Right now? He's pretty far away from all three. Some of that is his own damn fault. Some of it was plain bad luck.

"I figure it will make it easier to find each other. If your fancy new ship can keep up." He teases gently.

That's probably for the best. Might end up being boring if you're completely alike.

Carol wants to help people, be better, and fly. Those things have shaken out into different roles and positions and responsibilities, but ultimately she feels like she's reaching her goals. She certainly can't judge a person for knowing what they want, though.

Carol pulls a shocked face and gently (mostly) pokes him in the bicep. "How dare you talk about my ship that way. Of course it can keep up. I'm hoping your droid brains can process all that data."

Han (slightly) winces at the poke. Is it his imagination or was there a little something extra on that stab of finger into his flesh?

He props himself up onto his elbows and leans in to give her a deep kiss. Going so far as to recruit one of those long fingered hands around the back of her head. A gesture more meant to convey his passion than to keep her close - let’s face it, he’ll never be able to hold her anyway if she isn’t willing to go along with it.

“Plenty of brain power on the Bria, sweetheart. I can promise you that.”

There may have been a little extra, but hopefully not enough to actually hurt him. She was always extra-conscious about her strength when intimate.

Thankfully he seems to have moved right past it with the way he kisses her. Carol plants a hand on the bed to make sure she stays steady as they kiss. She can read the passion in his movements and it encourages her to deepen the kiss.

“Glad to hear it. It would be a shame if we lost contact over that.”

“Mmmmm.”

A pleased little murmur from Han can be heard faintly, but certainly felt through their kiss. The deep, soulful kisses that this Corellian scoundrel is so good at giving. It’s kinda surprising to feel so much emotion from him, perhaps, because he’s always trying to seem unphased by everything.

“I don’t give up on something like this so easily.”

Maybe that's why she is really enjoying kissing him. Not simply because he's damn good at it, but because it's not the kind of kissing she'd anticipate from a man who keeps his guard up so high. But she really, really likes kissing him.

There's a squeeze in her stomach when he says that and at first the only way to respond is to kiss him harder and press herself up against him. That's definitely a phrase that men don't say to her often. Possibly never. And it simultaneously gives her butterflies and sends a jolt of heat between her legs.

"I always liked that in a man."

Well, if at this point there was any doubt in the affection being mutual, he's not really wondering anymore. Not with the way that she sinks against him and kisses back harder when he lays on the charm.

It's good to have someone who wants to give as much as he does, too. This list of women he's dated isn't very long and nearly all of them made him chase after them. Perhaps Carol is better at recognizing what it is that she wants and trusts that she can find it in him. Or maybe she's more willing to take a chance with her feelings. Whatever the reason, Han thinks it's nice.

When the kiss breaks, Solo lingers close to her. Letting the puffs of his breath warm her neck and her cheek.

"Do you, uh?" He purses his lips for a moment and then begins again. "Do you to have your own space or do you like to be close after?"

Carol isn't one to chase or make someone chase her. She just doesn't have the time or interest in that. There have been times when she's been unaware of someone's interest, but she never knowingly makes someone go on a chase.

While she doesn't always know what she wants, she knows that she wants Han. He's fascinating, handsome, treats her with the right kind of humor and respect. It's hard to say what may come of all of it, and she's not entirely good with labels, but you don't toss out a connection like this without good reason.

Her eyes stay closed as she relishes in the closeness and takes a moment to bring her brain back to the question. It really depends on the circumstances and the person. Tonight she can't imagine not being close to him.

"That's up to you. I'd like to be close but I won't deny you some space if you want it."

“I lived in a spaceship most of my life.” Han murmurs with a faint smile. “If the walls aren’t closing in on me and I’m not living on top of someone, I can’t get comfortable.”

A joke. To keep Carol smiling because she has a pretty smile when he’s caught glimpses of it. He supposed she could take it to mean that he’ll curl up with anything, but that’s not true. She might not know how he normally acts around women, but she gotta realize that he’s into her. He didn’t smile nearly as much at the cantina, anway ...

She does smile at the joke - and she is aware that it's a joke - before leaning in for another quick kiss. "Better make sure you're comfortable, then."

While she's not always great at gauging interest, she has a feeling that he's into her. He's definitely smiling more than he was in the cantina, he's slowly revealing things about himself, those kisses are damn suggestive, and while he could've easily rolled out of bed and moved on he seems pretty damn content to just lie under her for the foreseeable future. She may be mostly oblivious but she's not a complete idiot.

“Thank you. You’re a thoughtful host.”

He could have tried to roll away when they were finished. If she wanted to keep him pinned down, he wouldn’t go anywhere, but he’s almost positive that she wouldn’t abuse her strength like that. She’s just good. He doesn’t know how he can be so sure of that, but he is. Whether this was a short term or longer term thing, he can’t see her forcing him into anything he wasn’t willing to go along with.

And with that thought, Han kisses her back and flops his back onto her bed like he belongs there. With her being the on top person around here, it’s on her to get the repositioning going. If she wants to be repositioned at all. He’d be content to let her just lay on top of him all night.

"I don't entertain often. I figure I better do it right."

She does end up shifting her body so that's she's lying on her side next to him. Part of that is because she's afraid that if she fell asleep on top of him her back would hate her a bit in the morning (she's still a relatively young woman but sometimes it's hell getting old) and part so that her hand can roam over the entirety of his chest.

She's glad that he doesn't roll away, but she would never stop him if he wanted to. Something like that isn't even considerable. They can see whatever this is through until one of them doesn't want to anymore. It might be a little more complicated if more intense feelings develop, but she'll deal with that if it happens.

“Workaholic?”

It’s the first and most logical reason that he can think of. She may or may not have the charisma to just walk into a bar and amble off with whomever she wants, but she’s beautiful. There would be plenty of people who wouldn’t mind going home with her. Knowing that, Han feels fortunate that he was the guy.

If she’s facing toward him, Solo will sling an arm around her back. If she’s facing away, around her middle. Something to keep her just a little bit drawn into him. He likes her warmth, but he doesn’t really get a lot of closeness and he aims to soak it up like a sponge.

“To a fault.”

Though he vast majority of the time she doesn’t regret it. There are always things to do, days to save, people to help, and more often than not when she tries to take a day off someone likes to make an attack.

But mostly, besides her cat and some close friends, she doesn’t have much outside of work.

Carol’s facing towards him so that conversation feels more natural and she can run her hand over his stomach and chest. Normally she isn’t so cuddly with a man she just met, but she feels comfortable around him. And if he is going to wrap an arm around her to keep her close, then who is she to resist?

“I imagine your schedule is usually pretty packed, too.”

“Lotta hurry up and wait in my line of work.”

She didn’t especially need to know that Han had just been involved in what amounted to being a huge battle between rival crime families (and an imperial battalion). Even if it was his plan that turned the tide and made sure it was his boss that came out on top, it wasn’t going to impress someone who wasn’t privy to the politics of where he comes from. And probably not going to impress someone who spent their time helping galactic refugees, anyway.

Maybe he should have made it seem like he was a big shot. Like he always had jobs lined up and anyone would be lucky to get him alone, but it wasn’t true. Nor did that impression make it easier to want to connect with someone.

Han’s body still has the traces of youth in them. There was still a little bit of softness in his face and form that is usually nowhere to be found in someone in their thirties. There’s also something about him that suggests that he’s always going to look a little bit younger that his chronological age. There’s some body hair for her to find, but not a lot.
